I’m in love with this place…
The colors. The rocks. The wind and the sky. There Isn’t much in the world more magical than rocks shaped by wind and the rain.
We too are shaped by the wind.
Its life’s wind and rain that makes us better, stronger, fuller. The wind stinging your back is shaping you into something different. Its the cold, rainy days that bring an appreciation of summer’s warming sun.
I have two dear friends who are struggling. My heart aches with them. One is battling with the financial burden of adoption, and the desire to fill their home with children to care for. The other, the birth of a new baby, exhausted, depressed and sleep deprived. Opposites.
Both struggles are real.
Difficult and painful. I have faith that both storms will make the future all the sweeter. The peace when baby finally sleeps through the night, or the joy in a home filled with love.
I’m so grateful for my own struggles in life. So far, I can honestly say that
The rainbows are worth the rain.
To my friends who have traveled these dirt roads with me– Thank you for being so incredibly life-giving. Thank you for helping me through the wind and the rain. Being around you has only made me better and our time together is a blessing.
To anyone currently navigating life’s storms, remember that when life is at its worst it can only get better. The rain brings the flowers, and the wind carves these beautiful mountains. Build your own mountains out of your hardships.
The friend I mentioned who is hoping to adopt, Pax, made this beautiful poncho. She is selling it and other items to cover their adoption fees. Find out more here: Kelton & Pax Hoping To Adopt
My lovely model is Kelsey of A Balancing Peach. She’s pretty much the cats pajamas. I just adore our photo adventures together!
