“The First Look” is when a couple chooses to see each other in their wedding attire prior to the ceremony.  Some couples choose to do this in the weeks before the wedding, and other couples carve out time in their wedding day timeline for a first look.

I’m a big believer in “The First Look” for a few reasons. Having been a bride, I know that the day goes by so quickly. It it is an awesome experience to have a little time alone before the ceremony to see each other and check in. It’s a very emotional moment seeing each other for the first time on your wedding day and we both wanted to experience it privately. ..

Think of this as your time to celebrate as just a duo without the eyes of all your guests. Plus, it means that you can get all your “formal” photos done before the ceremony. This leaves couples with plenty of time for appreciating their guests and family after the ceremony so they can just relax and have fun without worrying about getting everyone in line for those formal photos.

Either way, this is your big day and I am just a small part of it. I want you to experience it the way you and your groom dreamed it. I’m happy to provide input, but ultimately, it’s up to you to decide how you want your timeline to be.
