They were friends of friends.
Which landed them at the same location on Brady’s birthday. Throughout the day Betsy and Brady exchanged friendly smiles, but nothing more. Perhaps it was because she had a timid personality and was working up the courage to approach the birthday boy. On the other hand, Brady wasn’t going to let anything stop him from meeting the cute blonde that caught his gaze all afternoon.
With a little persistency, Brady engaged Betsy in conversation that evening. Chatting about everything from school to hobbies. They soon discovered each other’s love for the outdoors and rock climbing in particular. They planned a date the very next evening to climb together. After a few more outings together, it was agreed to pursue a casual friendship. Still seeing each other frequently amongst friends, their relationship blossomed and feelings started to grow between the two which eventually turned into a proposal that will turn into a marriage next fall.
For their engagement session we met in Downtown Laramie, and then ventured up to Vedauwoo. To A very specific rock formation that holds a special place in their hearts. The place where they had their first date and the place where later Brady would ask Betsy to be his wife. A place where the evening light glowed on red rocks and the autumn wind made aspen leaves shimmer and shine. Still the most lovely site was the look in two lovers eyes, that happy feeling of finding your person, and Betsy’s beautiful smile.
