Today I’m sharing some notes about life along with images of three of my FAVES! Spencer, Belen & Hendrix are wild and fun, we had such a blast at the Little Sahara Sand Dunes last month. This is the perfect time to post this because the amazing Belen just graduated with her degree in nursing! As someone who totally struggled in school (and never finished), I completely admire Belen doing the work to graduate! I know it took many sleepless nights and lots of hard work Belen, Great work! Congratulations… You da BOMB!
They grew up in the same neighborhood, walked the halls of the same high school, shopped at the same stores. Running in different circles, their paths never crossed till they left home for college. It was here in Laramie, at a night off from studying at UW, that they were introduced by friends at The Library. And that was it, something clicked.
Now, eight years in and they are building a life and a home together in Cheyenne. Dustin is intelligent and hard working, CarlyAnn is dedicated and passionate. Together they are the perfect balance of hardworking and fun.
We are two full months in to 2017 (how the heck is it march already?!) and I just want to take a second to fully appreciate how amazing 2016 was.
In this post I’m going to share MY favorite wedding images from 2016. These aren’t the images that will grace the pages of wedding blogs and you’ll never find them published in magazines. They are seldom glamorous but they are funny, lovely, and SO right in so many ways.
It was just another day in paradise (No literally -paradise- on the island of Kauai) the day Eric asked Megan to be his wife. This trip was full of sunny adventures, motorcycling around the island, helicopter rides and beach combing, but most of all enjoying each other’s company under swaying palms.
Kelsey was born to be an adventurer. She grew up in the big horn mountains. Her parents worked at a summer camp and she spent her days on the wooded trails and hilltops under big Wyoming skies. Later, her family would move to Missouri, but after graduating her heart pulled her back to those lofty mountain peaks. It was there, at camp Bethel, the place she had loved as a child, that she met him.
The day after their wedding we met with Jemimah & Simon (or as I’ve dubbed their new celebrity name, Jemimon,) at The Rustic Inn in Jackson, Wyoming and headed North. We passed the elk refuge and rounded a corner to be greeted by the breathtaking, snow laden Tetons.
I really cant think of any landscape more lovely than these Grand Tetons in Wyoming. Their peaks seem impossibly high, and when covered with snow are oh-so-dreamy. How lucky we were to get to see them! The clouds, and snow, moved in moments after we ended our session so it seems we timed it perfectly!
For their engagement session Leslie and Jarod wanted snow and mountains. We got all we could handle of both -and more- it was SO beautiful! For their session we met at the Green Rock Trailhead, just below where they close the road for the season in the Snowy Mountain Range in Medicine Bow National Forest. The weather was beautiful and clear, and in typical Snowies fashion the air was crisp and the wind cheery. So much so that we retreated down the mountain do Barber Lake Rd to watch the sunset. We were not disappointed.
