As a bride on your wedding day you’re beyond busy running from one place to the next, being pulled in every direction and have a million things on your mind. After what seems like endless hours of planning, anticipation and excitement, you want to remember every second of your day, right? It can all pass in one big, fast-forward, blur and you can leave with thoughts of “I should have…” But taking the time to slow down and be present throughout the day will help you to really savor those special moments and create precious memories for you to cherish for a lifetime. Below are some of my favorite moments that you’ll want to be sure and take a moment to appreciate as they come.
Their wedding day began as a crisp fall morning at Vee Bar Ranch in Laramie.
The wind gently shook the autumn leaves over a river that wound through the cabins on the property. In one, Greg adjusted on his tie and handed out vests and laughs to his mates. Next door, Meagan stepped into her dress. ‘Aaahs’ and applause erupted as she turned to show her best girls her final look. Further up the stream family gathered on an island in the crisp September air and kept warm with hot cider.
It was one of those life changing moments.
They were each a little unsure about their blind date, it was set up by mutual friends but they each agreed anyways. Upon meeting, Megan and Tyson hit it off and soon they became inseparable. Little did they know, 4 years later they would be getting married.
It was a warm summer day with the sweet smell of blooming flowers lingering in the air.
Bridesmaids chatted while they helped their bride put on the final touches for her big day. The girls toasted champagne and turned up their music while the boys played a few games of pool and enjoyed each other’s company.
It was the grand opening of a new school in town.
New teachers, new students and new memories to be made. With new faces all around, the teachers formed a group to frequently go out and get to know each other a little better. After a few group outings, Andrea’s bright smile and beautiful brown eyes caught Eric’s attention. He decided to send Andrea a message one evening asking if she would go out with him. She agreed and the two hit it off.
And in the blink of an eye…
It had been 10 years. Over time, their love had grown into something they couldn’t live without. They had no serious plans of becoming Mr. and Mrs., until one day when Chris got down on one knee and asked Michaela to be his wife. Michaela was in absolute shock and couldn’t believe she didn’t see it coming. With an overwhelming sense of excitement, she said yes.
The wedding planning began and the two decided on an intimate ceremony at the base of Medicine Bow Peak, with the beautiful waters of Lake Marie shimmering beside them.
Elopement: an act or instance of running off secretly, as to be married.
