She was up to her elbows in dirty laundry when they met. It was just another day at work for Denise, washing and drying, but little did she know the turn her life was about to take. When her co-worker introduced Mark, he saw straight through the mess… all he saw was her beautiful smile and brilliant blue eyes.  He asked her out, she accepted.

Within a few moments of walking through the front door of her job, Denise walked straight into Mark’s heart. All these years later, that one fact remains…

Together these two have built a life and family in Cheyenne, Wyoming.  You’d never guess they’re about to celebrate their 25th anniversary.  The way he looks at her, the way she pulls him close. Its like they were married yesterday.

These two prove that love isn’t just quick flashes and sparkles.  Love isn’t found in the fast blooms of spring. True love is evergreen, slow and steady. Friendship and admiration. holding hands. Leaning in.

To celebrate, we scheduled a couples photography session at Vedauwoo in Medicine Bow National forest.

We met minutes before the sunset so we could enjoy all the pretty evening light.

As we were walking, I asked them to take turns leading starting with Mark and they both started laughing, saying she was always in the lead….
