It wasn’t the day they met, floating down a river through the mountains of North Carolina, but shortly after. One day Jackie noticed his smile, and Ethan got lost in her eyes. They found each other and fell in love amongst rapids and tree-lined riverbanks.  Ever since they’ve been together, exploring, and learning that home isn’t a place as much as a person to belong to.

-Happy years, and many miles later-

The sun shone down on blanketed snow. Ethan stepped into a pair of snowshoes and began to traverse the deep powder to a hilltop in the Forbes Sheep Mountain Wildlife Management Area. They chose this place because of it’s 360 degree views. Here the big mountains surrounding them were only shadowed by their love for each other.

The warmth that day came from more than just the sunshine.  The happiness was visible and contagious. After-all: This was the day they would wed. The day Winston & Franklin would wear tuxedos. The day their parents would cheer and everyone would cry. The day -that finally- they would put on paper the vows their hearts had made long ago.

Jackie & Ethan, It’s days like yours that I realize I have the best job in the world.  Your joy and goodness is contagious and I’m not sure words can express my appreciation for allowing me to document your elopement. You deserve the best as you build your lives together. I’m beyond happy to call you clients.. and friends! Love & Gratitude, ~M
