It was a JOY to photograph this absolutely dreamy late summer wedding for Kristen and Josh at Curt Gowdy state park here in Laramie, Wyoming.  The mountains, the weather, the people, and of course this gorgeous couple… It was nothing short of perfection.

Kristen and Josh met working at the hospital in Cheyenne and after Kristen’s friend gave Josh a much needed nudge they went on a date and quickly their relationship blossomed.

Self proclaimed home-bodies Josh and Kristen love spending time with their shitzu, cat, and three chickens. When they aren’t hanging with their animals these two are watching football and Nascar ( Kirsten begrudgingly), cooking for each other, and listening to Josh play his self written songs on guitar.

Family, community, and bible study is important to these two so Josh made sure Rachel’s mom and their bible group were a part of his proposal. Josh pulled out all of the stops, keeping it a total surprise with roses, candles galore, plants, flowers, Ice cream and CHIC FIL-A!

Josh and Kristen had no hesitations. They knew exactly how they wanted to celebrate their union so they got engaged and married within four months.  Talk about serendipity!

Kristen & Josh, Thank you for trusting me with your wedding, it was an honor to document your engagements and wedding and I’m SO excited to see what the future holds for you both.  May it always be as love-filled and beautiful as the moments I witnessed with you two this year.  SO much love and appreciation for you both, ~M
