This Colorado wedding was absolutely gorgeous… and the perfect example of leaving tradition behind to celebrate in your own way. Jolie and Steven’s intimate ceremony was held at Big Creek Lake near Walden Colorado, with a happy hour following at their family cabin nearby.  Charcuterie, wildflowers, champagne toasts, and lots of attention given to their pup, Henry.

You see, Jolie and Steven are foodies who LOVE to travel, see new places, and try new restaurants. Steve loves the outdoors and Jolie getting to explore new places – always with a mystery novel in hand… but most of all they love being at the cabin in the mountains of Colorado.

On one of their adventures, they were exploring Girdwood, Alaska, when Steve suggested a hike. Once they arrived to the trailhead they were greeted with MANY signs warning of an aggressive black bear in the area. Jolie was not interested in the hike after seeing that, but Steve insisted.

As they climbed they made lots of noise, hat a bit of bear-anxiety, and finally made it to the overlook. There, Steven proposed and Jolie said yes! And there were zero bear encounters.

Jolie & Steven,

Thank you for letting me celebrate with you! I love that you planned a simple and intimate gathering filled with meaningful details and quality time with those closest to you. May you have many many happy years together and continue building a life centered on your values and what matters most. It’s inspiring, contagious, and SUCH a joy to witness. Much love and appreciation, Megan Lee
