They had named the place fawn ridge. Years back when her grandparents first visited the property, they saw a fawn at the top of the ridge that would one day overlook the family cabin. A place Lexi would spend her childhood exploring and climbing, a place she would one day bring Alex, and a place where things would change for both of them forever.
Alex contacted me months ago. He told me that he had an elaborate plan to surprise Lexi and knew that she always wanted a photographer there to document the moment. Weeks before the date approached, Alex met with parents and friends, made signs, and made arrangements. He sent Lexi emails from a ‘photography company’ saying they were in need of a couple to model in the area….
With that, the scene was set! We met at Fawn Ridge just before sunset and started hiking up to the top. Once we reached the peak, Lexi turned looking out over the vast mountain range while Alex, knelt behind her and pulled the ring from his sock. Best friends standing in the meadow below then revealed hidden signs that read ‘Turn Around’.
Lexi turned, Alex asked.
She said yes and the cheers rose up over the ridge!
It was truly a beautiful moment followed by tears, laughs, hugs, and a beautiful sunset. Alex and Lexi are gorgeous through and through and I’m beyond happy to have shared this moment with them… I know great things are in store for them together! I love these images and hope you do too!
